Chautauqua sits right at the base of the Flatirons, full of old homes with real history — Mork & Mindy was set here, if you know your Boulder trivia. Houses come up rarely and go fast, and alongside them are the cabins you can buy or rent, which is part of what makes the area unique. You step out the door onto a trail without driving anywhere, with the historic dining hall and summer concerts just up the way. The sunsets against the Flatirons are genuinely hard to stop watching.
